Yes, it is free. No sign-up is needed; just upload your images and download the outputs.
Is there any quality loss?
Resizing keeps the aspect ratio, and you choose the quality. In most photos, the 80-85 range makes no visible difference, while the file size drops clearly.
How many images can I upload at once?
You can upload up to 20 images in a single request. Each image can be downloaded separately; if you want, you can take them all as a single ZIP file.
Can compression make my file larger?
No. If re-compressing in the same format would make the file larger or would not bring a meaningful saving (for example, a small PNG that is already optimized), the tool does not change your file; the original is kept as is and the output label says "already optimized". A file can only grow with a deliberate format change (for example, PNG instead of JPG).
Is transparency preserved?
Transparency is preserved in PNG and WebP outputs. When you convert to JPG, transparent areas are placed on a white background.
Does the shrinking process change my original file?
No. Shrinking only touches the temporary copy you uploaded; what you download is a new file, and the original image on your device stays as is.
